This product deserves 5 stars easily! I took out the pick guard from a Fender Strat and soldered off the existing connections. Installing this loaded pick guard requires only soldering 3 points, and literally only took me a few minutes, and I'm not even that great at soldering.

The pickups are nice and crisp and sounds great in all positions. The volume and tone pots are nice and responsive as well. This is an unbelievable deal for a brand new sound. I even bought two of these to use in both of my Strats.

Just beware though that you may have to use a tool to shave down part of the pick guard if it doesn't fit into the guitar cavity. I had to do that using a dremel tool on one of the Strats I have. You also may have to drill holes for the screws if they don't line up to existing holes, but that isn't a huge deal.

It was time to give one of my music babies an over haul. I had poorly cut out the face plate to stuff a hum bucker from some old parts guitar in my fender strat MIM back when I was a teenager. Never really liked how it sounded or looked and always regretted it after doing it.

So fast forward 20+ years later. It became dust bunny. Can't remember what I was watching but some guy was playing the same guitar and I was like holy cr@p! That's right! That's how they're supposed to sound!

So it began. Pulled it apart, gave it a DEEP cleaning. Polished all the frets checked the neck and all the fret alignments etc"¦ book marked some nice pickup sets for waaay more money. And though yeah I'll pick em up after Christmas etc"¦. Kids and Christmas be expensive obviously.

Found this set and honestly didn't really expect much, figured worst case the face plate was cut out for the setup I wanted and for the price I would atleast keep the plate and the chrome knobs and switch which I looked the look of and I could play it again after all the hard work of restoring it. Till after Christmas.

Ok well the kit arrived. First thing I noticed was it has small pots, others have mentioned theirs arrived with small pots too. They were right"¦I was not happy about that, but figured well guess I'll replace them when I get the other pickups. Put everything together and

long story short tried a couple different sets of strings as the pickups weren't as hot as I would have liked and settled on a set of
Ernie ball slinky m-steel 10-52 2915( ultra high output)
After adjusting the pickup heights till they were just right. OMG! Where did these come from! My band mate came in an commented whoa is that sound the guitar you just put together! I was like yeah didn't expect this from these. Neck and mid is clean"¦ and I mean clean and crisp! There very well balanced highs aren't too tiney and lows aren't muddy like I expected. The rear buck will scream just like mama ordered. I will say there a little soft in the area of subtle string bending so I gotta pull a little a harder but thats to be excepted for a set of non active pickups.

All In all. These are staying on. And I'm very happy.

If your mounting these on a fender strat MIM I did have to use my knife and shave inside of the screw hole on the pick guard just above the bridge to get the hole to line up properly but the rest were good and you can't tell once the screw is in"¦ thanks for coming to my ted talk"¦

Bought this to upgrade a very cheap Squier Sonic guitar for a kid. A big upgrade over the stock electronics and pickups. Also nice to add a humbucker to a standard 3 single coil setup. Had no issues with installing or fit.

It sounds great, looks great, and was easy to install, but the knobs feel really cheap and the screw holes don't line up on my 2004 squier affinity strat. Not huge issues, I can get better knobs, but I was hoping I wouldn't have to drill new screw holes in the body

Well, apparently the pics on the models are different than the actual pickguard. I ordered the black w/chrome humbucker and black single coils according to the images. What I received was the black pickguard with all chrome pups. Also, since the 2022 reviews they have changed from using full sized pots to mini pots, kind of a let down. Humbucker measures little over 12, singles a tad over 8 on multimeter. Pickups sound very good. Pots are smooth and not scratchy, switch is solid. Single coils are virtually noise free. Great value.
