The ieGeek 5MP solar-powered wireless outdoor security cameras are awesome!! I live in Texas and recently purchased two cameras for a home I own in Pennsylvania. After doing extensive research, I chose ieGeek and am glad I did. The live views as well as the recorded videos and images are crystal clear. Using the ieGeek app on my phone, I have the ability to control the coverage area (horizontal and vertical) of each camera. I'm also able to set the motion detection sensitivity. A few days ago on my phone, I watched five dear as they enjoyed some apples and pears that had fallen from the trees in the yard. This morning from my Texas home, I was able to see and chat (using the camera's intercom) with my brother in Pennsylvania as he stood outside on the driveway. He could hear me loud and clear and vice versa. I had no problem setting up and installing the cameras and solar panels. What I did first though, was to charge the batteries in the cameras, format and install micro SD cards, download the ieGeek app to my phone, set up an account and then connect each camera to my password protected local network. The connections were flawless. I was pleasantly surprised; it usually takes multiple attempts for me when hooking up network devices. The solar panels are working perfectly; the camera batteries continually show a 100 percent charge. I am planning to purchase a few more cameras for my PA home. I should mention, I'm looking forward to seeing the first PA snow from the comforts of my Texas home. lol

I bought this for the motion light as the one we'd had for years quit. I loved the idea of the camera for added security. It took a little bit of playing with but have finally figured it out and settled in well with the device. It's amazing what you don't realize goes on when you're not looking! Liked it so much I ordered a second one for our side yard.

Update: The company reached out and apparently this isn't normal behavior for these cameras. The customer service is excellent and very responsive. They are sending me a new camera. I very much appreciate a company willing to make things right. You don't see that much these days. Also you have to turn off the human detector to make it catch other things like just cars. That was apparently user error.
Old review: It was pretty easy to install and I would say pretty easy to set up in comparison to my last one. The solar powered battery has kept it charged since I bought it about two months ago. However when I try to adjust it to look around it will go one click at a time and then all of a sudden spin around and look at the wall. Then I try to go back and I will click it once and it will spin all the way back around to the wall again. Some days it just does that all day. Ideally it would be a pretty decent product if it didn't do that nonsense. I was eventually going to get a second one but now I think I may try a different brand next time. The night vision isn't great. Also the camera doesn't always recognize when cars pull up which I kind of need because we do not have windows on that side of the house. It is mostly better than the last one I had but has a lot of flaws.

New to the arena of security cameras. Over the past few years have found reviews confusing thus no confidence in security cameras unless hardwired. Recently encountered a PTZ camera with high ratings so took the plunge. It was a learning curve to get set up and overall not real happy. Tried to contact support to deal with some issues to no avail. Went back to review ratings to find out that most of the high rating applied to something other than the camera. Not sure if that was an accident or intentional so decided to return. That got supports attention. However support was not able to rectify issues. More research and made another selection to find that the camera arrived damaged but did not know that until many attempts to set up. Return. More research and took a flyer on 2 ieGeek cameras on sale. Once I got by the need to fully charge before attempting setup, setup was easy. Impressed with both daytimes and nighttime picture as well as pan tilt abilities. Thus, this particular camera is the third one and likely will go with a fourth. Unfortunately, wireless cameras have become addictive. Notice of activity is on the slow side. Is that camera or internet? Not sure but livable. I struggle with the camera only available at any given time on one device. My main monitor is PC. Move to android and PC shuts down. There is a sharing device tutorial but was not able to make that work. From my perspective it would be good to be able to monitor at same time from different devices. At present time the 2 cameras are setup in a quad configuration. So have 2 available and room for 2 more. Good for overall monitoring however if want to focus in on a specific camera for more detail the other one is gone. Then have to go back to set up quad view. Thís is not the handiest. However, at end of day better than previous experiences.

This camera is facing my front yard. I installed it in about 30 minutes on my roof. The thing just works. All the time. No complaints after 2 years. One minor quibble is the mobile app software to control it. It's not very good.
