People really do slow down for the fantastic phrases that come with it.
Even if they're only slowing down to read the sign it accomplishes it's purpose.
Two things that kept it from getting a 5 star rating"¦ 1) I'd like the bases to be a little longer so that it's more stable in the wind/holds more weight.
2) The rougher surface means the decals can start to peak especially when it's in the direct sun, we just push them back on, but I'd be sad if the letters blew away.

This is very visible to drivers on our street. The "catchy" phrases (e.g., STFD) actually make the cars slow down to read, which accomplishes the overall goal of reduced speed. The letters were easy to apply, but they didn't stick the first time around. They became loose after we filled the body with water and the water leaked out. I believe the letters were expanded and loosened when retracted. We didn't fill the body back up, reapplied pressure to the letters and they have been fine ever since. It's worth the money and works great.

We love our slow down guy!!! When our kids as to go out to bike we always start with "put out the guy!" He's bright and very visible immediately upon entering the neighborhood. We have quite the biker gang on our little street so it's nice to have a not-so-subtle reminder out for folks.
My only complaint is that the vinyl letters don't stick well to the surface. I followed all directions to the letter, but they still come loose regularly, especially in warm weather as it softens the adhesive. Other than that, he's perfect!
