I purchased an alarm for my car with a two way remote and unfortunately it only came with one remote, as many do. I like having backups so I was going to purchase a second remote but the remote costs almost as much as the whole alarm! I instead bought a protective case for it and have been very careful with it. The case I bought fit perfect but it was made of some thin crummy faux leather and started falling apart in less than a year! I decided to make my own out of real leather since I couldn't find any covers that were real leather. I cut the stitches on the old case and used it as a stencil to make a new case and I reused the clear plastic screen protector. This was my first time working with leather and I'm very happy with the results! I just wish I would have used thicker thread but hopefully the stitches will hold up. This sheet of leather was about half the cost of the original case and so much better quality!
