Good option

Good option for anyone looking for a lower-sodium backpacker meal. Flavor is good, though a LOT of pasta. This was my emergency meal when I needed it on a difficult, cold, snowy backpacking trip. It served its purpose.
Great Backpacking meal

A go to meal for camping easy to carry and prepare. Great easy meal and doesn't taste like a survival meal. Great meal.
Really tasty, less water, is it really 2 servings??

When eating dehydrated meals while camping, it's usually Mountain House so I can only compare to that. Although because MH doesn't have a pesto noodle offering, the comparison can't be apples to apples so to speak.
The meal tasted very good! The chicken was surprisingly tender and "meaty", the pesto was mild but tasty and the noodles reconstituted as expected.
It was a wee bit soupy but that's because I added too much water. With MH, I always add a little extra time and water because it seems to need it. But this really didn't need extra water (which was already less than 6oz if I remember).
It's hard to say if this was really 2 servings. Usually with the MH, I'm stuffed by the end, if I even finish it. This one didn't leave me hungry by any means, but it just didn't seem like the same amount of food. I could see my 2 young kids sharing this, but no way 2 adults on a hike unless it was just as a side or something.
Will purchase again simply for the flavor and quality of the food, but not a lot because it's a bit pricy for not a ton of food.

Great option for backpacking

The flavor was great, and it's nice that these are packaged a little slimmer than some other brands' dehydrated meals. We bought two of these for backpacking the Grand Canyon and the first one turned out perfect. The second one didn't turn out as good, but I'm blaming that entirely on me not giving it enough time to rehydrate, not a defect in the product.
Depending on how hungry you are, this might really be a meal for one (which is how me and my wife considered it), but we were stuffed afterwards, so even a voracious appetite might be content with only half.

Very good

Nice to see one of these with more than 620 calories - 1000 is more like it for a meal after a long day of hiking or whatever. Would like to see the price closer to $1 per 100 cals but oh well, no one's really doing that anymore except Backpackers Pantry with a few of theirs.
Flavor, texture, smell of this are all great. Very happy with it aside from being slightly overpriced imo.
