Look great!

We got new grey colored carpet and tile through our house. Our old registers were brown/tan, so we needed to change them out. These look great and were totally easy to install.
Inside pieces are plastic
Vaughn Hogan✓ Verified Purchase•September 20, 2023
These look really nice and we love the color and the outside look. Unfortunately, the inside pieces are plastic. We had one that was already broken. They also don't close very well/all of the way like our old metal ones did. Hopefully we don't continue having issues of more breaking. Customer service is A+. I did contact them about the one broken one and they replied back very quickly and are sending a replacement.
Looks good anyway...

These floor registers definitely look better than the 30 year old metal registers that they replaced. But, the old metal registers were ALL metal and solid and didn't come apart. These Imperial RG3429 Montezuma Decorative Floor Register use "high impact polystyrene damper body". What that means is all the moving parts (to control air flow) are made of plastic (polystyrene). The plastic parts that move may easily separate from the top plate, especially if the duct system is old and not a perfect opening. That was my situation. When trying to close or open the vents on some of my registers, the plastic vents would snap off of the top plate. Well, they look good anyway!
Look nice, not the most sturdy

These are plastic registers so they are not the most sturdy. If it isn't a high traffic area, they are fine. The fins on the bottom fall off easily though.
They work… but…

Overall, they get the job done. The parts for adjusting airflow are plastic and cheap. When the air pressure is strong, they sometimes can't stay in any one place unless they are fully open or fully closed.
Don't have in high traffic areas. One foot in the middle of it and it will be bent.
