Its white plastic, when you put the parts together it makes it stronger. This is temporary for us, barrowed portable a/c unit and they didnt have this part. It fit perfect. So we are happy.

Much sturdier and lower profile then window than one that came with (Toshiba) AC. A little tricky to get output vent 'threaded' onto old tube but works fine now.
