Great product. Thinking about purchasing again. The price has increased to $135 so I am thinking about shopping around.. My family of three has gone through this 40lb container in 5 months.
Expiration date reflects legal standards for food - not actual longevity.

Still sealed for freshness but it arrived in good condition.
Remember that products must be labeled in accordance with federal standards to be sold legally. Even if a product can last far past the printed date, that date must still reflect the bills which provide guidelines for "x product=x years". Rely on the packaging date and inspecting the grains before use.
10 years is only valid under proper storage conditions- dark and under 55 degrees.
At standard and consistent room temperature (not excessively hot) you can likely still get a good 5+ years if the seal isn't broken.
