The title/product has 'tonic' in it. A lot of reviews repeat the same thing so I don't want to abuse an already long-deceased equine... but this is really nowhere near 'tonic water', so get that out of your head.
The taste is fine but it is quite different from anything resembling tonic water. The flavor leans very heavily towards a more floral, almost herbal tea vibe. Again, good if that is what you are looking for, but it's far from the traditional tonic water flavor most expect.
I did also find that their recipe calls for a rather significant amount of syrup to be used. I don't see it as concentrated as a typical Soda Stream flavor. I needed nearly a third of a cup for one large bottle of water. Results may vary, of course, but that's my experience.

it took several attempts to find the right mixture for our liking. For our vodka tonic we put ice & vodka in the glass, then an ounce of the Top Hat tonic, and then about 5 ounces of soda stream club soda. It makes a great cocktail - very flavorful.
