Saw arrived with a missing screw for the cast iron(!) table - From whatever reason Customer service - via email - decided to send me a new one. They did -Quickly- and I shipped back the original one with the provided label.

Built pretty good, smooth operation. Received with broken blade in box packaging was ok. Varible foot pedal is really only a foot switch for on and off. not for vering speeds. But helps when you want to stop and readjust your work piece.

I ordered the Bucktool scroll saw not knowing exactly what to expect, due to the lack of reviews. I must say that the product description is spot-on when it uses words like smooth, quiet, user-friendly, and heavy-duty.
Smooth - The Bucktool scroll saw came out of the box ready to work. I've used scroll saws in the past that have a rattle to their mechanics, but this saw ran vibration free.
Quiet - I was surprised by the low operating volume of this unit. The saw actually seemed to run quieter the faster I sped it up.
User-friendly - I'm not one to pull out a new tool and immediately open the instruction manual... one could argue I should. With the Bucktool scroll saw, I took it out of the box and was immediately able to set up the saw to cut. The accessories that come with the saw require very limited assembly and are smartly designed to intuitively set-up with the machine.
Heavy-Duty - I was skeptical as to how will the saw would perform in a bench-top mode, without being mounted. (Bucktool does sell a stand for the saw.) I have used the saw on my workbench and had it run great. The unit did not bounce around as I cut through 1/4 and 1/2 inch boards. I even cut through a 1 inch shovel handle (just for the sake of trying it) and the whole unit still held sturdy and smooth. As heavy-duty and sturdy as the saw is, it is still very manageable to move around for storing below my workbench.
