I truly wondered how well this was going to match the original pull chain from my ceiling fan. Matches the existing string perfect couldn't even tell the different on it was put together. It was very easy to cut/install. I just used a regular pair of pliers and it cut easily. Then I put the old "handle" back on in the end. Great product you can cut as much as you want or as little as you want to use and save the rest for another time. it was more than enough to use for 3 more fans that need extenders. I'm so pleased with it.

We have a really tall ceiling with a fan. Occasionally we want to operate the fan and light separately and could not do this with the remote. We added this chain and now we have access to change the light setting. It was super easy to install - just attach to the chain in place. It is a quality chain that is small enough to not be distracting and sturdy enough to effectively pull the switch without feeling like the chain is going to break.
