When received the brakes would not lock. Uses a bicycle-type hand brake. After several communications with the seller in China, they refunded part of the cost and replaced with a new chair. I truly wish it was a little bigger. It's nice looking, light and easy to maneuver. However, My grandson who has cerebral palsy didn't feel secure in it even though he was strapped in and he only weighs 85 lbs. And my mother is 125lbs and didn't feel comfortable. Therefore, I have to return it.
