Post 300 miles review - recommended!
JLS✓ Verified Purchase•August 24, 2023
I can recommend this bike, I write this review after about 300 miles of biking and 4 weeks of ownership. I believe a home spin bike can be summarized in one line: the bike you assemble on your own, and then profusely sweat over repeatedly, will need maintenance if you want it to last. I think this bike, with small maintenance will last, and just in case, I purchased the 2 year protection plan. I understand from the other reviews that Yosuda's warranty reigns for the 1st year and then the protection plan covers the 2nd year.
When deciding to purchase this bike, I read a lot of reviews on Amazon and then several "best of 20xx" lists. Yosuda's base model showed up frequently, which is how I found the updated L-007A model when looking further into the brand. I found the user reviews on Amazon to be daunting because for many of the bikes it was all the same: 4-5 star reviews for people who loved the bike after a minimum number of rides and 1-2 star reviews from people claiming the bike broke on them suddenly. I watched videos for bike maintenance and understood that I would need to maintain the bike should I want it to last. For this model, I feel the pedals are the spot to focus on. Without clip in pedals, and having not threaded the straps correctly the first time, I felt there was a lot of side to side movement with my feet when pedaling. The repeated movement seemed to loosen the pedals and at times I would hear a bird like chirping noise with every pedal rotation. (My cats would stare at the bike when this was happening). Eventually, I started checking the connections between the pedal and the control arm before workouts with the provided wrenches, just make sure they were tight. When they're tight, I never get any chirping noises. I also rethreaded the straps properly so my shoes are more secure. However, I believe with clip in pedals, there would be less side to side movement because your shoes are securely attached, and I may upgrade the pedals in the future.
After every ride, I wipe down the bike with an anti-bacterial wipe and have oiled the flywheel / brake pad twice. The flywheel and brake pad haven't needed anything but the maintenance guides said to do this after so many rides. By and large, the bike is very quiet when riding and I am very pleased with the purchase.
Other than the pedals, I found no real issues for me with the bike, but these could be an issue for others:
- The monitor doesn't have a backlight "“ I bike next to a tall lamp that I can turn on easily from the bike and a window, whose shade I can operate during a rest (if I lean). Between the two of them, I can always read the monitor's screen.
- The water bottle holder isn't in a great spot "“ I can reach it if I lean downwards during a rest. But based on how far I feel I need to lean to reach it, I'm sure others who are shorter may not be able to reach it.
- The phone / tablet holder is extremely cheap "“ it holds my phone in place but the material is the cheapest feeling thing on the whole bike.
- The seat "“ I feel in terms of your typical road bike or spin bike seat, this seat is actually quite comfortable. Its definitely thicker, is more padded than most, and have found the seat very secure in its attachment.
- Tools included "“ I liked that Yosuda provided the wrenches necessary for putting the bike together and that they included a spare wool brake pad.

Almost a winner

Bought this mid ranged cycling bike merely from other reviews. Very simple to assemble, mostly very sturdy materials, the included monitor for data is nearly unusable. It badly needs a backlight. The bike runs super smooth very quiet and works with most cycling apps that recognize the Bluetooth that isn't clearly defined as being on this bike that I thought wasn't a smart cycle. But IT IS "¦ not fully but adding inexpensive data sensors to the pedal and flywheel will make this a fully functional smart cycle. Like I said some fitness apps will recognize the bike and with those sensors added you can easily bypass the poor stat monitor included and track your stats via your smart watch or within the apps themselves. Overall very nice inexpensive bike made well and doesn't feel cheap. The 40 lbs fly wheel is great. Great entry bike for newbies like me.
Well-made. Solid. Flexible.

I have an older model but it's physical resistance, not magnetic. The band wears out. Got this for my daughter. Super quiet. Lots of flexibility on resistance levels. Display needs to be backlit. It's too dark to read sometimes. Solid build. Very happy. I'm upgrading mine to this one.
Great Value

Only a few days so I can't comment on long term durability yet. I was looking for a bike to help with my knee replacement rehab, handle my size (6'3" 270 pounds), and not too expensive. This bike does all of the above. It was easy to assemble and rides fairly quiet. The only minor complaints are the monitor lighting is bad and the seat is uncomfortable. I replaced the seat and I can live with the monitor.
Only 360-pounds...

I work in a medical exercise facility and we purchased this to accommodate our larger patients. Just want anyone in a similar scenario to know it is weight-rated to 360-pounds, NOT 400. We have numerous patients over 400-pounds who need and want low-impact exercise like cycling.
