A problem with one utensil

I love this set... Great size utensils, and vert sturdy. One fork seems to have lost a bit of the black coating in a few different spots on one of my forks, approximately 10 days after receiving. I haven't tried to contact anyone about replacing it, because I'm afraid they'll want me to return the entire set, instead of just the one fork...

I needed flatware that did 3 things:
1. Fit into the narrow slots in the utensil rack of my European dishwasher (don't get me started)
2. Have enough pieces so we didn't run out between dishwasher sessions
3. Be reasonably priced and not have any major flaws at that price point
This budget flatware set checks those boxes. But believe me, they are nothing special. I just got tired of wasting my time reading reviews about freaking flatware and bought these because they didn't have any major flaws. Would have liked matte finish but couldn't find anything that checked all the boxes.
In terms of the actual product, the knives have a nice design and weight. The teaspoons and desert forks are thin and tiny. They are VERY shiny, sadly. Along the box says "dishwasher safe," but the instructions say to wash them in warm soapy water on receipt. As if. Into the dishwasher they went and haven't seen any issues.
