I spent so much time looking for a set for Chinese Mahj and I'm so glad that this is the one I purchased. I already have two sets for American Mahj but I wanted a set with large tiles exclusively for Chinese play. I'm so glad I didn't get hung up with all the complaints about the size of the tiles. They're described as 1 and 1/2 inches. I measured mine and they are 1 and 5/12th of an inch - that's only 1/12th of an inch smaller than 1 and 1/2 inches and that is perfectly fine with me. I have no problem rounding up 1/12th of an inch. It probably makes it easier for people to picture the size when it's described as 1 and 1/2 rather than 1 and 5/12ths.
The lettering, ink and pictures are perfect. I ordered it in blue and every one of the tiles are perfect on both sides - no scratches or smudges. There are Arabic numbers on the characters and letters on the winds so that will be helpful when teaching new players.
The case is just fine. I've already taken the set of tiles in the case to friends' homes and it's holding up just fine. I don't hold it by the handle because it is very heavy and I can see where over time the case might not hold up well but I don't see that happening any time soon.
The VALUE is remarkable. The price is so reasonable and the tiles are so beautiful.

Great set for the price. The interior of the cases are very flimsy and rip when getting tiles out. The outer case is pretty nice. If you speak English it would be best to understand the rules before you buy. The English instructions are utter gibberish and can't be understood.

The tiles are clean and figures are easy to read. The tiles seem pretty durable after 2 months of use so far. It has been dropped on hardwood and concrete floors, but no damage to the tiles. Glad the tiles can stand up to the accidental drops from the table over the excitement of playing the game.
The only issue with this product is the case. The case seems very fragile and weak for the weight of the tiles. You can see the cover starting to bend a bit when carrying it by the handle. I end up not using the handle as I'm afraid of the case coming apart and having my tiles drop all over the floor during transport. That is the only drawback for this product. Everything else is great! Even the mini instructions, were easy to navigate and understand (for the most part) for anyone wanting to start playing and learn.
