Responsive company - frustrating build

Right after the bike arrived, I came down with COVID and my school semester started (I am a teacher). By the time I opened the box to start putting the bike together, it was already too late for a return. 2 of the 3 wires that are supposed to be in the front assembly were missing. I was able to fish one out but could not find the 3rd - it was somewhere deep in the housing. I ended up with a partially built bike in my living room that could not be assembled. I posted a negative review and the company reached out to me to ask what part was missing. When I sent them a picture, they better understood the problem and sent me a replacement at no cost. I was pretty shocked at how responsive they were. The parts for the bike are very well organized into labeled bags matched to the steps in the instructions, which is cool. There were a few steps, however, that were very difficult to understand based on the instructions. I had to make adjustments to get the tension cord to work which were not in the instructions - required WD-40 and 2 sets of pliers. Other than that, it went together pretty well.
Very nice piece of equipment, even if it could use a more comfortable seat.

The Magnetic Recumbent Exercise Bike is easy to put together, with fairly clear instructions. It took almost no time to assemble. The seat is very firm, and could use some more padding, but this is easily remedied by adding a cushion.

I'm 74 and it took me about an hour just to unpack it from the box. Everything was packed up good with styrofoam blocks and packing tape. Be careful when cutting through the tape as there were some (but very few) loose wires that you do not want to accidentally cut through.
The bolts, washers and screws were packed in individual ziplock bags marked Step 1, Step 2, etc. The directions of course start out with Step 1 so it is easy to identify which bag to pick. The tools you need for putting it together are included.
It took me about 1 1/2 hours to almost put it together. I struggled with the hookup for the tension control on the dial hookup. I could see how to hook it up but it didn't quite want to reach and I didn't want to force it. I waited until the next day to try again. Luckily the steel hook slid over the part like butter. I attached the tension dial to the bike, attached the pedals and sat on the bike, hoping the tension dial would work properly. Success! So this old lady finally got it put together and I am loving the recumbent bike. If you are an older gal like me, don't get down on the floor without a plan on how to get back up again! P.S. I am 5 foot 1 inch and I can reach the pedals when I push the seat all the way up to the front of the bike and even slightly back a bit. If you are shorter you may not be able to reach them.

It was hard to put together, comfortable once I got a added thick bike cushion. I would recommend it. Love the seat is adjustable. Fun to ride.

Bike was a bear to assemble, seems the bolts did not want to line up, much fumbling to get the bolts to go thru. Tools provided were not up to the job, have your own. Once I finally did get it assembled it was acceptable. Biggest deal is the seat comfort....THERE IS NONE! Get yourself a 30 dollar seat pad , you won't regret it.
Overall not a bad bike, just has an assembly issue and a big comfort problem. If I had to do it again, I'd upgrade...that's just me. Good luck!
After the powers-that-be read my review they offered to pay for my seat pad...who does that?! I gladly accepted their offer since I had to purchase 2 pads, one for the seat, one for the back. But i'll tell you what, the pads worked! I now have a comfortable machine at a still reasonable price.
So I upgraded a star to show my appreciation for their outstanding customer service.
Overall not a bad bike, just has an assembly issue and a big comfort problem. If I had to do it again, I'd upgrade...that's just me. Good luck!
