This is great for cutting raw potatoes, squash, and cucumbers quickly. It's pretty easy to use, but you need a little muscle to close and cut or change out cutters. It's also a bit loud when it closes to cut. I wouldn't use while others are sleeping, but great if you cook for a lot of people or want to make meals 1x a week. If it had rubber bumpers to close it wouldn't be loud.
