Put this on my key chain and connected it to one of my smart phones. Tried it out. Press twice on the tile and it started to play a alert on the phone. I located the phone. I think it works pretty good.

I bought one a few months ago and placed it in my luggage. My wife and I frequently travel and my luggage was stolen at the Long Beach Airport. I was able to track my luggage on my phone to a pawn shop in San Jose. I got the luggage back with a few things missing, but at least it managed to track my luggage.

I got the Tile to put on my bike, primarily so my wife can keep track of where I am during my ride, but also in case my bike is ever stolen. I tested it around the house and it finds my bike just fine, and I can use the audio beep in case I'm really having a bad day. However, on 2 separate tests of the the "Tile Community" to find me and my bike when away from home, I was disappointed. Tile said there were around 1,000 Tile users in my "circle" which, according to the map drawn probably had at least 200,000 residents. On the first test, I went for a 60 mile bike ride through some generally heavily populated areas, and Tile found me only 3 times, according to my wife's attempts to find me. All 3 times, it found me at very busy intersections where traffic was heavy and I was probably stopped at a traffic light waiting to cross a busy street. On the 2nd test, I went for a 30-mike bike ride in some more remote areas, although always within a short distance of developed areas. Tile could not find me even once. I understand the limitations of the technology, but I'm wondering just how effective Tile can be as a tool to recover lost or stolen articles. Unless your stolen or lost article ends up at a busy intersection, or in downtown Manhattan, I'm not sure it would ever find it. If me or my bike are lying in a ditch somewhere on a lightly traveled road, I don't think Tile will ever find me either. So bottom line is yes, it's a great tool for finding your keys, wallet, of whatever around the house, but keep your expectations low that this will help you track and recover your stolen items.

Surprised how small it was but works perfect. Especially if you kiss the keys in your house or something because it will make a noise.

Bought for my mom who is always losing keys and phone. Put tile on keychain now she can use keys to find phone OR phone to find keys 😅
