Stop freaking out about garlic

It takes 15-30 GRAMS of garlic *per kilogram* of body weight to affect a dog's blood, and this product only contains 250 MILLIGRAMS per chew. For my 13 pound dog, it would take 90-180 GRAMS to hurt him, and yet he is only getting 250 milligrams a day. 90 grams is equivalent to 90,000 milligrams!! People shouldn't be freaking out about the garlic in this product. In my experience, I have ordered this 11 times, and it works great for my 13 year old full-of-hair-poodle. No adverse effects. I have been too nervous to use it on my 50 pound dog because if she got fleas, it would be disastrous (she has really curly and black hair, so the fleas would really go unnoticed), but it works great for my little dog and I love not having to pump him full of cancer-causing,TOXIC pesticides-which are way worse that the (TINY) amount of garlic in this product.

I had to stop giving my dog monthly prescription flea and tick preventative oral meds because he started having seizures. I needed to find a non-pharmaceutical flea and tick preventative so this past spring I decided to give these a try based on the mostly positive reviews. I started giving them to our dog daily in early March, well before flea and tick season in our area as the directions recommend. He weighs 47 lbs so I gave him 2 tablets every day March through October. To my surprise, he never had a flea or tick all spring, summer or fall except after I stopped giving them to him in early November, foolishly thinking tick season was over. Within a week or so of discontinuing them I found several ticks on him so I restarted them and haven't found any more ticks on him within a few days of restarting.
The key is that you really have to give them to your dog every single day all season long, starting early in the year. Once you make it part of a routine it's not a big deal. At first my dog wasn't that interested in them but if I leave them in his bowl he always ends up eating them. I never noticed any side effects in my dog--no gassiness, odor, or stomach issues. The tablets have a very strong garlic smell but didn't make my dog smell like garlic or anything.
Giving my dog two tablets per month it ends up costing about the same as the monthly prescription preventatives did.
I'll definitely be continuing to give my dog Pet Honesty flea and tick preventative. I highly recommend them to any dog owner looking for an alternative to the pharmaceutical flea and tick prevention products. Just be sure to try not to miss doses and plan to give them to your dog most of the year, if not year-round if you don't have cold winters where you live.

Well, it seems to be working. The problem is she's a fussy, spoiled little fuzz ball. She knew when I put it in her food. Sometimes she would eat it. Probably unknowingly, LOL But then some how my little brat would work her way around it some how. I'd look and there it is, food gone but chew would be left. Sneaky little one. So I finally got smart. When I prepare her food I grind it up completely and mix in her food. And wallah she has no choice. Consistency is the key. Gave her a bath and there were less fleas by far. So hopefully now we are consistent it should start working better. It is definitely far more cheaper and healthier then script meds. Thank you. Try an update .

I used this last year on my 3 beagles, and it worked well. I did stop when it got really cold, but now it's warmer and using it again, and it doesn't seem to be working as well. So IDK if I should've never stopped, or it's not strong enough. I hate using chemicals on my babies, so it works if you are trying to use the more natural products. They still scratch and we've found a couple of ticks, so I may have to double the chews. They seem to like the taste.
