I am an avid gardener so I have a lot of garden beds. I thought this would add a little pop of color in the herb garden because there was a little too much green. This is so much cooler than I expected. One side spins in the wind and creates a really beautiful effect. It's almost hypnotic to watch. The colors are vibrant and bright. They especially love cool when the sun shines on it. It was easy to assemble and seems sturdy.

This wind spinner is very lovely. It spins well in the wind and looks nice in the yard. I live in the desert, so it is subjected to very intense sunlight, heat, humidity and strong winds. It has held up in several very strong monsoon dust storms so far this season, so it is sturdy. We will see next year how it handles a full summer of sun, but so far it has held up well in the sun and heat.
UPDATE: One brutal desert summer down and it still looks lovely. We also just had a big dust storm come through with 40-60mph gusts for around 45 minutes. One of the spinners did come off around 30 minutes in, but after the storm passed we were able to find it (thankfully it stayed in the yard and wasn't in the next county over) and reattach it, and it's working beautifully again. My biggest concern had been it's sturdiness in strong winds, and I'd say it passed that test with flying colors. Don't expect it to withstand a hurricane, but it can definitely take some pretty strong wind.
UPDATE #2: Another desert summer down, and when I said don't expect it to withstand a hurricane? It did. This little spinner spun merrily through Hurricane Hilary and an even stronger pop-up storm a week later. It's still completely intact and spinning beautifully. After two summers of intense desert sun, most of the color has faded, but that's pretty much par for the course out here. I would definitely buy this one again.
