Great burr grinder for the price

This grinder works really well, it grinds very even and doesn't overheat the beans so the flavor of the coffee is great and fresh. Little static electricity that makes the grinded coffee stick to any plastic and especially the cup but not a deal breaker.

This is (obviously) less labor-intensive than my manual ceramic burr grinder. It's pretty quick & easy. My biggest beef with this is the STATIC. The coffee seems to get charged & with a plastic receptacle the ground coffee winds up all over the preparation surface. So you're probably going to be wasting a gram or two each time you prep. It helps if you can let it sit for a while before pulling it out to use the coffee, but that's pretty counter-intuitive when you're looking for fresh-ground coffee. (Trial, error & too much multitasking led me to the "let it rest" solution. But I don't always have time to do that.)
This nearly made me return it. But I'm lazy & the grind is quick enough that it doesn't seem to impact the taste, so I decided to put up with the coffee explosion because I caught this on a sale for about a quarter of the price of the la-dee-dah brand I'd researched & it does the trick.
Also, it does get a weird metallic burning smell if it runs for more than a second it takes to grind the brand. So if I'm grinding a double-batch. & My time estimate is off, I just hit the button again to turn it off ASAP.
I prefer the coffee using my manual ceramic burr grinder, but some days that's just not happening.
So, if that won't make you crazy, it's a good little grinder that's simple to use.

I'm really picky about my coffee!
This unit is everything I was looking for! 16 grind settings so I can fine tune it for different beans and roasts. It's fast and not too loud, and the easy-to-use catch bin is a good size.
The only fault, is the static electricity that builds on the catch bins can create a bit of a mess on the counter.

Grind quality and quantity are consistent. Easy to adjust, and even the most oily beans flow through.
