Got this just to have a portable pager/receiver that I could carry around the house and out into the yard. It paired easily with the other CallToU pager/receiver set I bought a few days ago. The downside is that the pager itself is squarish and bulky. Although it comes with a belt clip, I find it popping off and I've lost it once while getting in and out of our van. Still, for its functionality, it is great. I did later find that CallToU offers a set with only a receiver/pager, but the savings between this set (pager, doorbell/call button, and call button) was only about $5. So, not a big deal.

I originally bought the system (same company) that needed to be charged and could be taken outdoors. My issue with that one was that my father would use the call button, but I didn't hear it because the battery needed charging. It was difficult to know when to charge the receiver. So I opted for this one that had a receiver always plugged in and one that was portable.
It made a big difference, especially as my father needed more assistance. He didn't use it a lot in the beginning, but that changed as he became more immobile. I was able to hear the bell sounds loud and clear from upstairs or at the other end of the house, so the range is good. I didn't get to test it outsde but I would expect it to be as good as the system it replaced. The one thing I did not like were the choices of sounds for the receiver. Another plus was that it made my father feel safe while I was elsewhere in the house.

I care for a very ill relative. Hung a button on their walker so they have it for bathroom trips and can page us anywhere in the house for assistance. Really huge positive impact on how do things around here. Im sure a lot of the brands would suffice, but we tried this one and it's perfect. Have turned on three other families with elderly or ill relatives who have purchased as well.
