I got so tired of my nieces and nephews losing things and having to turn everything off to try to hear those Apple Air Tags that wouldn't even wake up a newborn baby. First, the drawback. These longer range trackers are prone to accidental activation. It's quite easy to trigger the tracking function which results in the tracker beeping. The workaround is to hold down the tracker button until it shuts up. In my case, I bump the tracker button when pulling keys out of my pants pocket. Not a huge deal but slightly annoying.

That being said, the additional range is quite handy. These trackers are good for up to 300 ft! I mean, a football field of range! How cool is that? Also, you can replace the batteries in these - unlike the legacy trackers - which means you can run these for years w/o issue.

Also, they come with a free 1 year of Tile Premium. If Tile cannot find the item being tracked, you can get reimbursed up to $100 or $1000 - depending on the plan. If you have a bunch of housekeys attached to a tracker and lose the keys, you could get reimbursed for making new keys!

The Tile app is just super easy to use. You create an account, login, then add trackers. The entire process for 4 trackers takes about 2-3minutes total.

I've used Tile trackers to track my keys, my wallet, my TV remotes, my security FOBs, and more. Tile has become an essential app for me. Oh, the wallet tracker is so durable that you can slip it into a wallet and it won't break! I'm a hefty guy and my wallet tracker hasn't stopped working.

The tile is a great item to prevent loss. This one is louder than the original and the battery change is easier.

I still have some issues with Tile.

The first is that the battery change is not related to the actual charge left, but is a time interval. So, if you change the battery and don't do a battery reset, or if you rarely use the Tile, it will still demand a new battery.

The second is the continuing issue of demanding that Tile be granted full time access to location services. This give Tile the ability to scan for other Tiles and report the location of a missing item. However, there is no need to have this on for personal use.

Also, when setting up a new Tile with the app, it will not allow it to occur until full access is given to location services. It should be possible to sett up a Tile without giving access to location.

This one is louder and has better range, but it could have a more noticeable ring tone for finding the item. Songs and jingles are not as easy to hear as a simple beep or sonic siren.

I am not impressed with the tile network. Often, it an not locate the tiles even within 5 feet of your phone. I've spent a lot of time on this, trying to get the tiles to ring and for the phone to ring when you press the tile's button. I replaced the batteries which are CR2032. I also ordered the The Wallet. That thing constantly rings your phone when you put it in your wallet and sit, but rarely works when you try to find it.

Bad tech. Waste of money. I'm currently trying other alternatives.
