I've gotten sick of replacing cheap box store lost stair gauges, and also working around waned edges with them. These should do the trick being a bit larger and having a dedicated carrying keychain making them hard to lose. LOVE the fact they are so deep so they catch the edge on even badly waned lumber, and they also are easy to tighten very tight!

I have had a set of Stair Guages for years. They had two big problems. (1) They were very easy to lose. (2) They were hex shaped, leading to some goofy contact angles. This set solves both problems. They have a cylindrical shape and come with a nifty carrier with a clip. Perfect.
