I'm in my 70s. These were games I played with my siblings when I was a kid. The jacks look the same, but the pickup sticks are a little bit shorter and the tips are more rounded. I suppose the rounded tips is a safety measure, but it shouldn't affect the way the game is played. The kit is exactly as shown in the Amazon photos on the product page. We got one extra gold jack, but I guess we were just lucky.
The sturdy box the games come in is solid and will keep the game pieces together. If I remember correctly, the pickup sticks came in a similar cardboard tube and it survived a few decades of playing, so this should also hold up well. The set includes instructions.
