Great for a first bag

You cannot beat this pack for the price. It has all the features you could want starting out. Quality is definitely on point. I had it loaded to about 35lbs (with food and 2L of water) and none of the stitching seemed to struggle. Being 55L, it does fill up quick. So it's great for a weekend trip, or if you're in a large group that can share some of the load. It is a little hefty at 5lbs empty, but it had tons of storage space/options and the built in rain fly is a definite plus. I'd say if you're just getting into backpacking, this is a great start to figure out if you're going to enjoy the hobby and not be out a ton of money.

Bought for my skinny teenage son to use on an overnight hike. It worked really well.It seemed to hold a lot and was lightweight considering. His only complaint was that it dug into his hips, leaving them quite sore. Again, he's pretty scrawny, but maybe some extra padding there would be helpful.

My son was overjoyed receiving this bag for his birthday. This is his first official year in the boyscout troop (he was a cub scout for years) so this year they step up the self sufficiency in packing and back packing. It holds all of his necessities and then some. It's not heavy (as an empty bag) so that's gonna help him on the 10+ mile hikes that are to come. We just recently saw a review on all the best backpacking equipment and this bag was listed as the best one the market.

Ive used this on multiple backpacking trips I've gone on with friends and it feels good on my back, everything is adjustable and can store what you need for the trip. I've since gone on to buy more products from teton sports and have become a returning customer for their products.

Wish it had a few more pockets or at least some molle attachments. So far it's held up to several good multi day adventures out on the rails. Thrown it off some moving vehicles while bailing and it's held up just fine so far. For the price not expecting a ton of longevity but if it gets me through a couple of seasons that's fine. Wish the top opening would open up just a little wider. I use those reusable grocery bags to sort my clothes and other things, they make for easier organizing. and if the top opening was just a little wider they would slide in better. Love that bottom pouch with divider. Good for rain gear or a sleeping bag, but not both. Overall I like it and would purchase again.
