Purchased these because the caps on my dog gate wore off and as a result the gate was not sturdy. I tried other caps and they were too large for my door way. I took another change and purchased these as they seemed smaller than all the others I and the fact that they're clear sold me. I've had them now for a little while and had to remove then several times due to having workers in the house. Well, one of them removed the paint, not sure if it was me not taking my time, or the old paint or the caps. I'm not that worried because the previous caps I had took the paint off in a different spot so we already knew we needed to paint the door frame..

These things are made of a soft, almost sticky plastic, so they will stick to the wall where you put them. I thought they would fall off when I removed the gate, but ;they stayed in place. You can move them, and they give washing instructions if necessary to wash them.
I have plastered walls rather than just drywall, so I was doubtful about how they would work. Seems great so far. The product description didn't tell much about them, but maybe they will do an update.

The media could not be loaded. I wish I knew about these earlier, as one of my baseboards are slightly damaged from our expandable pet gate. These are so easy to use, very durable, sticky, and allows you to stick it on many types of surfaces. It comes in a pack of 4 bumpers, which comes out to about $3ish per bumper.

I am using it on the walls and it stuck great. I even tried peeling it off several times, sticking it back and it was just fine. There was no paint peeling off when I removed it so I am very happy with that. This was my experience and it may depend on your type of wall paint/quality, so I would still use caution and test out a small patch. I like that these can be washed and cleaned, which practically makes them brand new and super sticky again.

At first I thought these can only be used with the type of gate with tension rods but I'm glad it works with my particular type of gate. Very happy with this quality product and would highly recommend getting a pack to protect the surface of your home.

Perfect for providing a bit of protection from pressure gates on painted drywall. I had a piece of paint flake off when I removed one of four pressure gates after the Christmas holidays last year. My kids came home with their dogs and one toddler and the gates went up. 2 for the stairs and 2 for the kitchen area. When I removed one at the stairs, a chunk of paint about the size of a quarter came off. These wall protectors will help to prevent that the next time my kids visit.
