Ruko U11 PRO - Initial review
Peter Smit✓ Verified Purchase•November 22, 2023
First impressions: This drone is definitely a move up from those inexpensive ($30 to $50) drones that I have flown in the past. I definitely enjoy the ability to have been able to get this in the air and be able to relax when I flew it. I did not feel like I had to worry about it ending up in a neighbors yard or flying into a tree as it had decent stability when in a light wind. I also felt comfortable getting it up above house level and, as shown by some pictures, get some decent elevation without worry.
Phone holder
I have a Galaxy S22 Ultra with a case
It fits in the phone holder perfectly! A great plus
Flying
As I am new to flying drones with any consistency (having time to fly), I found this drone to be a pleasure to fly as it was easy to figure out the basics. I did find that it was very valuable to give myself time to get familiar with controls and setting up for flying while still at home so that when I took it out to fly, I had a good experience getting it up and going very quickly.
Applications
Besides taking this drone out for the sheer enjoyment of getting it up in the air, I also found it useful at home. I have solar panels on the roof and like to check on them on occasion. It was very nice to be able to use the drone to fly over them and take pictures - much better than climbing on the tile roof with temps over 100F. So a great bonus to start!
Ease of use
Follow the instructions and watch the screen and it takes you through the process.
1. power on drone
2. connect phone app to drone (wireless connection)
3. power on controller and bind to drone
4. watch app as it tells you the process to calibrate drone
after that it is ready to fly
I did notice that when completing a flight and going to the next one - pay attention to the beeps - it was reminding me to reset RTH function
Video - training
For starters to help become familiar with the U11 PRO, I would recommend searching YouTube - lot's of good introductory videos to get you started on the right foot
Wind
a little light in the wind
does well in light breezes but need to be careful once the winds starts picking
pictures and videos
Pictures
I was able to take a picture of my other drone (Ruko F11), which my son (adult) was flying at the same time. Also have a couple of other pictures including one of my solar panels
Videos
a little jumpy due to breeze - When I was flying, the wind picked up so the videos taken did bounce around so I did not have a chance to get any decent videos
Overall, I am very pleased with the U11 PRO and definitely hope to spend more time with it. Also, hope to have my son and wife try it out as I feel it is a good one for them to get some experience in flying drones.
Once the weather cools down (I live in Southern California), I hope to spend more time getting to play with more of the features that this drone has.

Great Drone for beginners !!
Nikhil A.✓ Verified Purchase•October 30, 2023
It's my first drone, so I was really excited to buy one. I have to say it exceeded my expectations!!
The drone is easy to fly and control. It took me about 5 minutes to get the hang of it. The drone has a great build, mostly stable at high altitudes and can fly really low as well. The battery lasts a fairly good amount of time and the GPS can be used to unlock higher functions. It's a great drone for beginners at this price.
Although, one thing that I would have wanted it to have would be more image stabilisation while changing altitudes. But, oh well can't have it all. The accessories are also not very expensive, considering. So, if you are in the market for a drone for the beginners I would say go for it...

Very Easy and Fun to Use - no learning curve at all!

The media could not be loaded. I am new to drones and the Ruko U11PRO was my first. I am glad that I bought this because it is so easy to learn and fly. After unboxing, all you have to do is charge the drone and remote batteries and then download the Ruko App on your phone - then you can start flying the drone. And you learn it almost instantly - no learning curve at all. The dronne is so easy to maneouver because when you let go of the controls, the drone hovers stationary above you. So you don't have to worry about crashing or losing it. And it works even for an older person (50+) like me. The pictures and videos are very good for the price. The drone is of very good quality. I had so much fun such that I am thinking of upgrading into a more advanced model after a while. Very highly recommended.
Great Drone

Great entry level drone

I've been toying with the idea of getting a drone for quite a while. I didn't want a toy. I was interested in some basic photography and being able to inspect my roof and gutter remotely. When I saw the Ruko U11 Pro on sale I felt like the time had come. This drone is easy to fly, but is not a toy that performs pre programmed maneuvers that take the challenge out of flying. The craft is quite responsive to inputs but will stop on a dime if you neutralize the sticks before collision; you just have to recognize that you are getting into trouble. There is no automatic collision avoidance. I feel that this is a great combination for learning to fly and I really enjoy the challenge.
The camera is quite good and allows declination control though panning requires rotating the craft itself. The drone is stable in hover and has shock absorbers for the camera, but not image stabilization. The photos and video are good as long as one is very smooth with transitions and maneuvers. When landing, the camera automatically points forward to save scratching the lens.
The life on the two flight batteries is as advertised. I got in a great inaugural flight session using them both. The controller battery had given me some problems, it lasted great for the first few sessions, but even after full charge and 5 bars, it seems to suddenly discharge and the automatic return kicks in. I've contacted Ruko and they have promised me a new controller. They responded immediately and have been very communicative. I'm hopeful that the new controller will correct my problem
Overall, I'm quite happy with my purchase.
