Have had two of these, and love them! The first I broke by not following directions (don't let go of the string!) I immediately bought another because I had grown too used to it to go back to measuring! You don't realize how convenient it is until you have it!

Great product for accuracy in measurement every time. As some have mentioned, if you drop or let go too soon, the likelihood of breaking the end is high. I drilled a hole in the end and slid a small keyring in and attached to line. I would suggest a similar redesign in the attachment of the end piece or something else that decreases the breakage possibility. Simple fix for me, but could be frustrating for others. Overall happy after my modifications.
