Installed this on my 2014 F-250 along with the Air Lift airbag kit. This was very easy to install. The wiring is layed out so it is pretty much just plug things in and do a few wire connections. Honestly didn't really need instructions. It is self explanatory, looking at the diagrams you can figure it out. Didn't take very long, only about 2 hours of actual installing. I spent some time looking things over and deciding where I wanted to put it to keep it some what protected. I ended up mounting the whole thing above the spare tire. There is a nice flat surface directly above the tire and to the front of the cable assembly to raise and lower the tire. Make the lines to the air bag lines direct and short. The shorter they are the less stuff they can rub on and get holes. For the power I hooked it up to one of the Aux toggle switched that come stock, this way I don't have to keep power to it unless I am using it. With no air leaks there is no need for it. I should have took pictures because I would say it turned out very clean, out of the way and protected from the elements. I saw some people put it in an ammo can, I don't think that is necessary. Between the bags and compressor kit I would say it was a pretty fun project and easy to do if you have any mechanical ability.

First, when I went to unbox and inspect, everything looked in order, except the air hose. This is the hose that connects to the bags - see picture. The install went fairly smooth, I took my time routing hoses and wires, wrapping and heat shrinking all of the connections and routing everything real nice, looks great. I have a 2020 F-150 so my frame is too big for the U-bolt, so I had to drill into the frame to mount it, that bummed me out a little but no big deal there. Confirmed all of my voltages truck on and off at the compressor connector after I was done routing everything and I had a good ground, and 13.55 volts at all of the other three pins on the connector. I connected, and reconnected 10 times because the blue tooth portion of the compressor is not working. Neither the BT Settings on my iPhone, nor the device tab in the application ever see the compressor. Pulling the connector at the compressor does nothing but let a little air out each time I connect it. Next, who among you doesn't work from 8-5 Monday through Friday? I do, and apparently that's all that Air Lift works as well. It's Saturday, June 11th, and I have an inoperative compressor, and on Monday, while I'm at work, I'll have to take a break to call them, and I'm sure they are going to want me to do crap with the truck, and I'm probably going to lose it on the poor call taker. The service bulletin that came with this device says that it should come with a controller, but because of the global chip shortage we'll have to order that later and that pairing to my phone is the only option for now.

I'm a nimrod!!!! I downloaded the app for the single controller, not the dual.!Tech support got to me quick and after my thorough explanation of my configuration and troubleshooting, he went straight to the app being the problem.

So what's my take away? Read all the reviews, good and bad, and be prepared to experience some of the bad. Make sure you have plenty of time between installing the device and the time you need to actually use it, AND, be sure to leave your manual inflation valves installed.
Simple install

I purchased this to compliment airbags I received as a gift from my wife, I installed both at the same time so it took a bit longer than expected, install aside, the ability to pressurize or depressurize at the push of a button is AMAZING! I drive a 2004 Dodge 2500 and with my travel trailer, it squats like a dog going number 2. My truck already had a slight California Lean due to the leveling springs up front and these bags set to 8 PSI corrects that issue and stiffens up the rear so it feels like I'm driving a truck again. With manufactures focusing more on ride comfort rather than use-ability, I think the squat issue will only get worse with each new model. But I digress...

Install was fairly straight forward, although I think a novice would likely need some help since the directions are good... but not THAT good. Youtube helps here. After install I aired it up to 35 PSI and checked for leaks with some soapy water. Interestingly enough, the only leak I found was between the water separator and the manifold.... which comes pre-assembled from the factory :) . I separated the two and added a new piece of pipe tape and put it back together, problem solved.

Functionality is exactly as I would expect. My truck is a quad cab with a long bed and I have the pump and manifold mounted above the spare tire. I fully expected that there would be connection issues sitting in the cab as that quite a distance through multiple sheets of metal and other things for a Bluetooth signal to travel. However, as soon as I step out of the truck it connects just fine and functions perfectly. I read a few reviews from some folks that had/have issues with bad connections... My advice would be to contact AirLift, you might have a bad unit.

I would totally suggest this kit (and the airlift bags) to anyone looking to up their towing game!
Probably not for the novice, but I did it!

Y' all just missed a great deal - Air Lift had a $50 rebate on this system and the springs. Bought them both, and the springs were much easier to install. You would think that is only a compressor and a few tubes and some wire, but it gets really fun under the truck! The biggest problem is the fact that the compressor mounts are too close to the bolts that hold the compressor together, so only a nut driver or impact driver with nut driver and extension will get the mounting bolts in, and that is after you figure out how to get a drill up in your frame to do the holes. They should put the drill templates on the first page of the manual for those that read along. About the manual - they use " left" and "right" instead of driver and passenger... I put the whole system just forward of the spare, mounting manifold and compressor together on the bed crossmember, and snorkeled the air filter under the heat shield. They give you T's that allow you to use manual fill as well, and i ran the tubes through the license plate. Worked perfectly the first time! I have been on this system for a week, and have had no problems with the controller inside or outside my truck. Do yourself a favor and don't power it up until it is all done. Rejoining the controller to the system isn't fun, so I hear.
