This digital frame is simple and straight to the point. It is easy to connect using the Frameo App. I like how you are able to schedule on and off-timers for this device. Personally I have this on early in the morning from 6AM to 8AM and 5PM to 11PM, times that I am most likely to view this digital frame.

My siblings also have this app and they are able to randomly send me photos which can be a nice surprise!

One of the downsides of having a phone in your pocket for several years, is that it can be hard to find a good way to enjoy the thousands of pictures we accumulate. This is one great solution to that problem :)

The display can be set quite bright and has good color saturation, and while the 1280 x 800 resolution is slightly less than standard 1080p but more than adequate for a device of this size, rendering pictures and video very well, even if you are viewing it close up. The speakers produce clear sound with no distortion on the sound even when I turned the volume up all the way. The frame is quite lightweight without looking cheap or feeling delicate, and can be set as a stand or mounted on a wall. There is so much storage that I didn't even put a dent in its capacity after uploading over three thousand pictures.

Initial setup was dead simple, and I had it set up in about 5 minutes, including putting it on my wifi, naming it, and getting an update downloaded and applied. You can tell that the product is designed to be accessible and usable for people even if they are not technonologically savvy. Setup is very intuitive and the included and onscreen instructions are easily understandable. It's easy to add friends and family if you'd like them to send you pictures too. Just generate a code and have them enter it into the Frameo app and you are in business.

Most of us these days have had several years of carrying around a smartphone and have a substantial photo collection. The only way to make the frame any fun is to have it loaded up with pics, so the next part is a bit time consuming. You can load pics in a few different ways, via SD Card, USB drive, or the Frameo app. I already had the Frameo app on my phone because I had purchased an earlier model as a gift for my mother. The Frameo app is what you will use on a continual basis to keep adding the shots you take to your frame, and while it's very simple to use, it's simply not made for chunking thousands of pix at a time up to your frame. I tried out the SD card and used a USB thumb drive, and they do both work fine, but they are nowhere near as fast as this method you won't find in the manual: uploading directly from your computer.

Since the time the frame was put on the market, there's been an update to the software, and an additional menu item was added to allow you to use the mini-USB port (marked as being for developer use only in the manual) to connect directly to your computer to transfer the pictures. This is *much* faster and 100% I recommend it over the other methods! Not only is the transfer speed just faster than SD/USB, it eliminates the step of having to copy everything twice, PC to USB, USB to frame. It was a very welcome change from the time I had bought the first frame.

Once it's loaded with pictures, you can set the slideshow up the way you like, whether to show things like the date and time, weather icon, photo captions, times to wake or sleep, etc. When the mood takes you, you can open it up and scroll through and look at photos just like a digital photo album. Or you can just put it up on the shelf and let the slideshow roll on.

I mentioned I had previously purchased a different Skyzoo frame a couple years ago as a gift for my mother. I was very happy with it, so I bought this newer model as the old one was no longer available. As I said then, "There are a *lot* of internet connected picture frames out there to choose from, ... and I think I grabbed the winner."

My daughter wanted one for her birthday. This digital frame has a great capacity and great quality. It has numerous options such as timers, how the pictures change and speed. She loves that her friends can add pictures to it with the shared app

While I was initially very frustrated that I couldn't import pictures from a SSD I had because it wouldn't let me choose the import folder and spent many minutes seemingly reading everything on the drive (which had tens of thousands of photos), and then extra frustrated when I couldn't connect it to my Macbook Air as it only supports direct connection from PC, I overcame my frustration when the SD card option worked well - although it did take many minutes to import the 300 odd photos I wanted to put on the frame.

So that's the bad.

There's lots to like though. Firstly the design is really nice and plain unlike so many competitors where the frame is over designed and competes with the photos or your home decor. It's simple and the white mat really adds to the look.

Second, I love the ability to choose how images are shown - either fitting the screen (with the ability to tweak each photo for position) or in the original aspect with a very nice blur from the image in the background.

Third I think the picture quality is excellent. I wish they did these in larger sizes though.

I haven't used any of the app (the ability to transfer just10 photos seems a major limitation) or sharing stuff as I just wanted a nice simple frame to cycle through a few hundred photos and it does that very nicely.

I'd prefer a more standard power socket so that I can use a different supply - the one provided sticks out of the wall too much and so I'll probably make some DIY changes here, but it does the job.

So overall I was looking for a cheap but decent quality digital frame and that's exactly what this is - however I've been pleasantly surprised by the capabilities overall and if it proves to be reliable, I will probably purchase a few more for other spots around the house.

I think it's great, very easy to utilize and the photos instantly come up. It comes equipped wtih a 16gb stick so you don't have to buy external memory. You can have your family/friends send photos and then export them to a mini SD card if you'd like. There is an option to mute the videos if you don't want to hear the sound. It can go horizontally or vertically. The touch screen works as intended and I think I might get my grandma one too so her family can send her photos directly to her frame and make the other nursing home residents jealous! LOL!
