These shades fit the need so well. Very affordable and have a nice look. I took a chance not to purchase a more expensive item. A faint pattern on the shade, very easy to install with great stick. I was going to add tape to it but not needed at all! I did need to trim on the side but so easy to cut. In 5 minutes I did two windows.

The window in my kitchen door would always trip me out cause of my paranoia that someone is watching me 😂 well problem solved. A good buy as you get two of them for the price and an easy to install product. I did add chopsticks in the last fold to keep the blinds straight. It can be annoying to keep the blinds to lie straight and it can be crooked/not structured hoping with time it will form memory to lay flat/straight which is why I took off one star

The glue is not the strongest. Otherwise the whole thing works lovely. For a temporary blind it's great!

These were very easy to install and so far they have stayed put. The only thing I was disappointed about was the fact that they were not longer as they don't fully cover the full width of my sliding glass door windows. They also don't reach all the way to the bottom but that's o k because I also have a curtain When I want to close off the windows at night. Works well so my cat can look outside without everybody seeing inside during the day. The only thing I wish was different other than a longer length would be I wish there was something sturdy on the bottom to go across the whole thing because when you raise the shades up the parts on either side fall back. Down so it looks a little weird because they don't stay straight across. I feel like the manufacturer should make some clips or something to hold these in place without weighing it down. Or make the part on the bottom so that it can be cut along with the paper. Also the black part on the bottom was making a lot of noise on my window. When My cat would paw at it so I had to put some foam insulation in spots To prevent the noise of it banging up against the window. They wouldn't normally do that but if you have a pet who might mess with them you might need to do this too. Overall I am very happy with the purchase and they really came in handy because it would have been very difficult if not impossible for me to install a shade. On these windows otherwise.

The version of these blinds that come in white with an aluminum coating are not light-blocking. They aren't advertised as such; however, I assumed with the aluminum coating, they would be. (I was wrong.) Quite a bit of light still gets through, which is OK, unless that's not what you want.

As for installation, getting the backing strip off the adhesive is an exercise in madness. The adhesive is VERY tacky (which is good), but getting a start on the backing strip was difficult. Then, the backing strip would tear, and you'd have to start all over again. Once that backing strip was off, installation was ridiculously easy. Keep in mind, you get ONE SHOT at placing the blinds. If you screw up, the likelihood you will be able to reposition the blinds is essentially zero.

After you get the covering installed, be sure to GENTLY pull the blind down as far as it will go. This should separate the pleats that stick together. After that, you can adjust to taste. You can also trim the string to fit. Just understand once you do that, you won't lower the blind further than the end of the string.

I didn't purchase these to be temporary; that is, I intend on leaving them up as long as they are servicable. I don't mess with blinds/shades much, so I'm thinking they will last quite a while. If you are an "up and down" person with blinds and shades, I would not expect this solution to last long.
