I sometimes play for outdoor events and wanted a quality battery operated amp. This is it! Worked beautifully for a performance and sing a long in the woods.
Very versatile with lots of features

The media could not be loaded. There are already several well deserved 5-star reviews of the BP40 which list many of its nifty features. So, I want to focus on how versatile it is compared to the typical guitar amp that you might buy in the same price range. A typical guitar amp would normally have one input for a guitar and no input for a microphone. The BP40 on the other hand has two guitar inputs and two microphone inputs which can all be used simultaneously with independent volume controls for each input. The typical guitar amp would also need to be plugged into an electrical socket in order to work. But the BP will run either on its built-in rechargeable battery (which truly does last a long time on a charge), or it can be plugged into the wall. The BP also has 4 speakers (two woofers and two tweeters) while the typical guitar amp only has one woofer. I believe the 4 speakers do a better job with vocals than a single speaker can. I would also add based upon my experience that the sound output from the BP is plenty loud enough to perform from the gazebo in the park where there is no electrical outlet for a typical guitar amplifier.
In addition to the ability to stream music from your smartphone via a Bluetooth connection, the BP 40 has a USB port that you can use to play songs that you have recorded on a flash drive. This is not a feature that you are likely to find on a typical guitar amp. And you can even use that USB port to power a guitar pedal to get special sound effects like distortion, fuzz, or pitch shifting. All you need is a USB to 9-volt adapter and whatever guitar pedal you want to use. I use an adapter which I bought on Amazon for less than $10.
I mostly play soft rock or folk songs and I appreciate the "clean" sound that you get from the BP. I have also found that it reproduces the sounds of my acoustic/electric guitar much more faithfully than the regular electric guitar amp that I was previously using.

I'm actually keeping this over an AER Compact 60/3, which is a premium acoustic amp.
This one seems to have slightly better sound, the battery gives me a bunch of flexibility, the effects work just a little better, and it has more inputs.
All around, seems like a great deal. If anything goes wrong, I'll come back and change my review.

I have to write a review on this amp because I'm so impressed with it. This item is exactly as described. I've been using it to practice with my guitar for awhile and it is so crisp and clear. I would give it 10 stars if I could!
