I've had SodaStream machines for years. My recent purchase of that brand only worked occasionally from the beginning. I decided to try this and after a month of daily use , I'm thrilled. Added bonus: the SodaStream canisters I already had are compatible.
It's a better design. The cap that delivers the co2 screws on and then the bottle pops into the machine. Depress the top. Pull out the bottle and unscrew the top. All done in under 10 seconds. It's sleek and doesn't take up much space and since I use mine 2-3 times every day, I just leave it out on my beverage bar.
You have to pull the bottle out harder than you think you should to get it to disengage but you won't break it. I also wish it came with a storage lid for both bottles. But that's the only downsize I can find to an otherwise rave review of this product.
