After many years, it was time to retire our old, thread-bare artificial Christmas tree. Though pricey, the Balsam Hill 7.5-foot tree looked like a nice replacement, so we ordered it through Amazon.
The new tree arrived in two large, well-packed boxes, just five days later. The four sections of the tree (bottom to top) were in the boxes along with a tool kit, extra lights and fuses, two tree storage bags, two pairs of gloves for fluffing the tree branches once the tree is erected, and a nice long electrical cord and foot-operated off/on switch for the lights. The excellent/clear setup instructions for the tree were in English one can understand.
Following the instructions, my wife and I had the tree fully erected in 90 minutes. Working from the bottom section upward, we fitted each tree section easily into the one below. All the electrical connections (tree section-by-tree section) are made automatically; there is no need to hunt for light strings and plugs hidden in the branches with this Balsam Hill tree.
We are astonished at how beautiful, realistic, and shapely the 7.5-foot tree is. Yes, it may cost more than some, but in our view it has been worth every penny.
We had one minor quibble. Our tree arrived without three "eye bolts" necessary for securing the tree stand base to the lowest section of the tree. The Balsam Hill Help Desk said replacements bolts would be sent, but they wouldn't arrive at our house for an unacceptable seven to 10 days. (Our replacement bolts arrived in exactly seven days, USPS.) In other words, don't plan a tree-decorating party until you are sure have all the parts in hand!
