Being linen it will look wrinkly most of the time, but I expected that. The dark taupe needs sprucing up to give as a gift. I sew, so I added lace and pipping on it and now looks great. I like the shape of the apron. I also added a "pouch" pocket in the front for cell phone and misc. I would buy it again if it came in a larger size; it's really meant for small, athletic built males snd/or females.

I wear an apron a lot during the day, and I wanted this one because there was no big knot tied at your back, which stabs into you when you sit down. This doesn't! I was concerned that it might be too small, as other Japanese ones seem to be produced for people who are generally shorter and thinner, which I am not. This apron was great! It is now summertime, and it is very loose on me [but that still works]. I feel that if it does not shrink during washing, I could still wear it with my several layers of clothes in the winter. I will come back to the review and give it a 5 star if it still is the same size after I wash it. Til then. . . . . .

I don't feel like it shrunk in washing. It is not wrinkle free fabric, but so what. . . it's an apron. It also comes in a matching cloth pouch, that I use for different purposes. Just a nice extra. Still love it!

This is made of part linen and it will require ironing, that's just a fact about linen material! But I don't mind that at all because I love this apron! Full protection with SIDE POCKETS and easy to put on and take off with no ties. It does have a front seam which the photo shows. I just didn't notice it in the photo. I wish it was without that front seam, but would not stop me from buying another one at all"¦..and will in the future. As far as the color, I ordered the red and it is more like a washed out burgundy color. Wasn't a big deal for me.
