I expected this sofa to be cheaply made. I expected it to be uncomfortable. I expected the upholstery to be junk. The only reason I bought it was because it's modular and I liked the idea of being able to reconfigure.

I was wrong on every count. It's very well made. Everything went together easily. It's very comfortable. It's the right size (so many other modulars are oversized - great if you have massive square footage, otherwise useless). It's very well made, sturdy, and went together in no time at all. Dog hair brushes off the upholstery like it was never there.

It won't all arrive on the same day, as they said, but it all came within three days, and because it's modular there's no individual box so large that a normal person can't handle it.

Good product. Good experience. Would I do it again? I already ordered an extra chair and back to make a loveseat out of the left over chair from this set. Brilliant.

I'm in LOVE with this couch! I previously had a modern leather sectional that was never really comfortable. When it started peeling I decided it was time to replace it. My requirements were something modern, modular, comfortable, affordable, and good quality. I went to several furniture stores and websites but couldn't find "the one." I checked out the popular, overpriced cardboard like sectional we all heard of and was not impressed. I loved the feeling of some of the cloud style couches but they looked too frumpy to me. Then...I found The Belffin! This couch was a gamer changer. It's the perfect blend of comfort, quality, and sophistication. Plus, it has storage and reclining backrests!!! What more could a girl ask for? This set would be like 10K if it was the love "couch." Anyway, the product arrived in record time with straightforward instructions and all the tools you need to assemble it. This literally came with a real screwdriver for each ottoman (a good one too). If this isn't thoughtful I don't know what is. Honestly, I think it's a cost savings opportunity for the seller, but the thought is certainly appreciated. The couch itself is good quality and comfortable to sit and sleep on. The material is soft but resilient as I have two poms who still sneak on my couch from time to time leaving drool and pawprints behind. However, I've been able to get them up with ease using only a damp rag. It's very easy to configure this couch to suit your needs even for someone who's 125 lbs. Right now I'm digging the pit style but I can change it whenever I like which is the beauty of it.

Also, if you're looking for this same ginormous set I recommend starting with ASIN: B0B5X73TTR. I wish I saw this configuration first because you save some money buying in bulk.

Overall I'm very happy with this couch. If you're contemplating about buying this, I would say it's time to pull the trigger. You'll thank me later.

To be clear, I do not write reviews unless I have had a great experience or a poor enough experience to inform others to stay away. In the 15 plus years of using Amazon, I have written no more than five reviews and today I will be writing about Belffin. For those who do not want to read my experience further, I will immediately state that if you are on the fence about working with this company, then have no fear, as Belffin's customer support, professionalism, efficiency of solving problems, and ensuring that their customers are treated better than any other entity is second to none. Never have I interacted with a company with such remarkable customer support. Read on for my full experience review.

As a recently retired active duty servicemember, I always felt that my integrity and trustworthiness was unmatched. I was proven wrong by Belffin when my family and I were not able to keep the couches that they sent to us. Full Disclosure: I chose to buy Belffin couches unseen, and only trusting the reviews that I read regarding the modular couches we wanted. When one of the couches arrived, we opened it and set it up, which was so simple to construct that we were surprised as to how fast assembly went. Unfortunately, when my son and I sat on it, the back of the couch was too low for us. My son is a swimmer and is six feet and two inches tall and I am a bit taller and we were not able to lean back while sitting down, comfortably. When we both tried to lay down on the couch, our shoulders hung over the edge. My wife and daughter absolutely loved the couches and wanted to keep them, but they understood that my son and I would not fit on them and would not be practical for our family. This was in no way Belffin's fault as their website absolutely and correctly informs their customers of the exact sizes of all their products. This was completely my fault at purchasing them and I am fully to blame for these couches not working out with us. When I requested a return and refund, Belffin was duly concerned at the quality of their product and very concerned with my "dissatisfaction". After some initial questions and assuredness that they did not cause me to be unhappy with their service, they instantaneously starting to work the situation for me. They obtained the return shipping labels for me, emailed them to me and I attached them to all the boxes that I desired to return. This was at great expense to Belffin. During this entire time, they constantly kept apologizing for the "inconvenience" of me having to deal with returning the items. I was stunned at this as most other companies would display a form of disgust with these types of situations. This was NOT the case with Belffin. Additionally, Belffin requested that I inform them when I completed the shipping return of the items so that they could track the progress. The moment that I sent them all the tracking numbers, they reimbursed me immediately for every single penny that I had already paid, without even ensuring that I returned the items in question. They trusted me to send the correct items back without even verifying them and reimbursed me. I have never heard of this or experienced this type of trust with any company in my life. When this occurred, I literally sat at my desk for a few minutes realizing that Belffin did not care about the money for an instant and I realized that at no time during this process did I even care about or ever feel like I was never going to be reimbursed. That feeling made me question my belief that no one person or thing could be more honest and truthful with as much integrity as myself. I truly believed that nothing could match my integrity until I experienced this situation with Belffin. I am here to say that Belffin is an amazing company and that whatever system they have for training their employees for customer support and being fair and honest is the exact process that every single company should emulate.

Lastly, I did not write this review as a favor to anyone, especially Belffin. However, my experience was such a pleasure that I felt a strong desire to share how amazing this company is to those of you that may have any trepidation working with this organization, and I want to ensure you that my experience was outstanding.

Having never done so, was very apprehensive to make such a major piece of furniture & purchase amount online.
Kept researching, measuring, reading details, options, reviews, so actually had it sitting in wish list for months.
BUT with coupon discount already available in listing, once AMAZON offered such a GREAT lightning deal too, we finally decided to go ahead and order. Just in time for the holidays AND now, so glad we did !!
9 large boxes shipped quickly & arrived all at once. FEDEX delivery was excellent..did not stack but neatly lined up boxes side by side. No damage at all to boxes OR any pieces inside.
Packaging of each unit in a spunbond type of fabric "bag" made it easy to lift each pre-assembled storage base up & out of box. So each box wouldn't have to be sliced or "torn" open (just in case of return). And by pre-assembled I mean each "storage" base already had the spring hardware inside installed & ready to flip open. Yay !
Assembly of the "backs" does take a bit of time & some muscle, but you only have to use a phillips head screwdriver. And multiples are provided!

The first back was a bit tricky to attach to its base, but once lined up right & you get the hang of it, found they fit in quite easily & tightly thereafter.
The metal hardware & concept to secure each base together to keep them from sliding apart upon sitting is so much more clever & sturdy than any other design we have dealt with on sectionals before AND are hidden from view once secured.
We purchased a set of 8 flip-open modules w/ backs & attached to each other... plus 1 backless "ottoman" base unattached to any others so that we can move it around freely to accomodate whichever way we like, when we like. The arrangement options are awesome & the storage in each base is most definitely a plus.
Cushions & back pillows have piping for a nice finished touch & will hold shape much better than end seams just sewn together.
Also the cushions need some time to decompress & "rise". I read in reviews that some people didn't do this & if you sit on it before doing so you will feel like the cushions are too soft & sinking. But once you let it expand properly, we found the seats to be firm yet soft & comfortable to sit on, recline, or lie down.
Last but not least, we chose black velvet fabric & it really is VELVET. A very nice surprise. It's not a pseudo-type of velvet, so it's a deep rich black color AND unlike other one-way pile velvets or faux suede velvets, (which we have had in the past) with 2 cats, have found their fur wipes off easily, just as was advertised.

So our experience thus far has been extremely pleasant & positive. We have no idea how long or how well it will hold up but are very very pleased with this purchase.

Pros
Assembled it by myself in one evening (significant for someone who struggles with this type of thing). There are so many different configurations - you'll find something that works for your space. Very good design in that sense. Seatbacks can also function as armrests. It will be a great (and comfortable) sleeping option for overnight guests.

Depending on which set you buy, this can stand alone for a living room. I was also going to buy a recliner but I'm glad I did not. This (I got the U shape large set) is sufficient. At least consider buying it alone first before deciding to add other pieces.

Lots of storage space.

Cons
I wish the cushions were attached/affixed to the seat backs somehow to avoid them moving around so much. On the other hand, having them not affixed adds to the versatility of assembly options.

The black is not as dark as I would have liked. It's more of a dull black that the rich velvet that I was hoping for.

I also wonder why there needs to be an identical manual and screwdriver in every one of the 9 boxes. Seems wasteful and not necessary.

Overall
Happy with this sectional, considering the convenience of buying online, ease of assembly, and variety of layout options.

UPDATE: Have had this unit for a little under 2 months now. Two of the arm rests (which can also be used as seat backs) have become loose and won't stay upright at 90 degrees. So need to place these against a wall. We are careful not to lean back too much on the ones that re still good so they don't get loose. Annoying but it is what it is
