With all the catalytic converter theft going on this is very cheap insurance. Mine was stolen and it cost $2,100 to replace it. I had this put on as an afterthought and no one is going to take mine again. If you need protection for your catalytic converter I highly recommend this.

The install was easy, but I did not use rivets, but rather self tapping screws. Took about 30 minutes. One suggestion is to bend the back of the plate nearest the muffler down, with a crease in the middle so that you don't end up with a rattle against the catalytic converter. When you bend it and put a small crease, you avoid the rattle. After you are sure there are no rattle issues, fill in the front self tapper heads with some silicon so that they can't be removed without a sawsal blade. Adds a layer of difficulty. Buy the theft insurance for your car, runs $6/month with $250 deductible. It's a deterrent, not a complete solution.
