This is mostly plastic, unlike the "classic" toys they are supposed to represent.
It is still a nice representation of the old, and my son really likes it.
I think the price is very steep for what you get, especially as the dump truck is around $20.

Found out you can get all Steel Tonka items at Target of all places for a average of $15 dollars cheaper than here on AMAZON! (I hate Target, son told me) to bad I already bought 2 on Amazon :-( ...

If you are reading any depth of reviews for large size Tonka, you know the deal - much less metal and mostly plastic. You may not think it worth the price, it's up to you.
Still my son loves it, and plays with it heartily, but not roughly, so I think it will last a while.
The knob on the side turns the barrel and sand/small rocks/marbles will pour out.
Though realistic looking, not recommended for pouring a foundation to your new backyard patio.
