My aunt recommended this product after her dog got sprayed by a skunk so I ordered some to have on hand just incase. Wouldn't you know the day after I got this, my dog went outside late at night and got sprayed. She came back in and rubbed herself all over the couch and my bedroom carpet trying to get the stink off. The stench woke me up but it was too late by then. This worked great at getting the smell out of my couch and carpet. Couldn't even smell it 24 hours later. My dog unfortunately still stinks. She got sprayed in the face and this product is not safe to use around her eyes so I am having a hard time getting the stink off her head. Would love for them to make something safe for face but overall I was pleased with how it worked where I could use it.

This product does work, but as they tell you in their product instructions, you must saturate the entire area where the urine (or vomit, whatever) has been in order for it to work. For my carpet, it took quite a lot of the product to saturate both the carpet and padding. I ended up buying the concentrated refill because they say on order to use it in a carpet cleaner, you need to mix the concentrate with only 20 ounces of water rather than with the 32 ounces of water as instructed to refill the normal spray bottle. (So that leads me to believe that the normal formula might not be strong enough"¦)

The 20 ounces of water in my carpet cleaner didn't go very far, but it was enough to use on that one spot and on a spot where the dog had vomited, and it DID get rid of the smell. So, basically, it took almost the equivalent of an entire bottle to eliminate the smell from a 4-5" urine spot from a medium size dog. It did eliminate the smell, though"¦ and (so far) it has not returned.

When I bought this spray, I did so with a heavy dose of skepticism. I tried several different products previously to remove the smell of cat urine and all of them fell woefully short. In fact, I'd largely given up on the idea of bottled sprays truly solving the issue and purchased this stuff purely because it came by recommendation when I'd related the scenario to some family. Long story short, I got it, I used it, and I was blown away. It works exceptionally well and was worth every penny. To be clear, I get the impression that this isn't a cleaner, but rather a deodorizer. So I cleaned the areas to which I applied it, which had virtually zero effect on lingering cat urine odor, then applied the Pooph. Voila! The odor really did vanish. I don't know how it works, but it was worth every penny and really did what all those other sprays couldn't.
