Used as gofer barrier in garden raised beds

I am pleased with the overall quality of this material. It arrived promptly and packaging was excellent. Overall I believe this was a good value and far more economical than anything I could have found locally in my area. We used this at the bottom of 4'X8' (by 16" tall) poured concrete garden beds in order to prevent gofers and moles from coming up from underground into the vegetable soil. I believe it will function well for this purpose. However, I do have minor concerns about the overall durability of the material as it was slightly lighter duty than I expected (maybe "medium duty"?). My concern is that someone could drive a shovel through it when turning the soil if digging too vigorously. Also wouldn't want my rototiller tines to get near this when prepping soil in the future. I would have preferred a heavier duty (heavier gauge) material that would withstand/resist puncturing with garden tools. In retrospect, after pouring 11 of these concrete garden beds, I wish I would have put 2 layers of this material under the soil to provide 100% confidence that it will not eventually be breached by nasty garden critters! This may be purely psychological but this is how die hard gardeners think :). I expect it to work as planned and I will definitely update this review if I see any rodent tunnel activity in my raised beds in the coming years. If it does work as described/planned above then I would have to say this was an awesome value and a small price to pay to control garden pests because I know from experience that it is extremely difficult to eliminate moles/voles/gofers from tunneling into garden beds.
