My car had a superficial white scrape that I was pretty sure I could buff away. This tool did the trick, but there were a few minor issues that made it challenging. First, it took me a while to get the plastic handle mounted. The screws didn't fit into the holes well, and I had to apply a lot of pressure with the tightening tool (not an allen wrench or screwdriver, not sure what to call it) that was included for this purpose. It was a bit of a struggle. The excess plastic in the holes had to be pushed through. I used the orange foam head to attack the scrape, and it did remove it. I then used the fluffy finishing head to shine the area. The final result is one I am very satisfied with. Now the one thing that was difficult with this process is that the polisher has a very heavy kick to it. I am a fairly strong woman, but I had trouble controlling the machine. It sort of popped around like a bucking bronco! It's interesting, as I didn't expect it based on the weight of the device. It is not heavy, though it is not very light either. I have used various sanders to refinish furniture and I expected this to have a similar feel, but it did not.
