It's a really cool, unique toy and can be fun to use once you get the hang of it. That's the hard part! It takes time and patience to get used to using it the right way. I gifted it to my boys, ages 6 and 7.5. Sometimes they'd enjoy playing together. But my 6 year old would get easily frustrated if the ball didn't go as he planned.

I bought this for my 8-yr-old great nephew for Christmas. He absolutely LOVED it!! My husband and I "tested" it out and made sure it was (re)charged for him, and we had a blast with it, as did my 24-yr-old son. The battery lasted a decent time, and it charged quickly, but i would expect that, since its new. It's safe and shouldn't break anything around the house, but boy does it fly around!! I got this when I was dog sitting and had 4 dogs in the house. It was a huge hit! It took a lot of beating from the dogs and continues to work. The cage is broken in some parts, but it continues to fling itself across the floor.
Gave it four stars since I never get it to do anything but hover in my hands for about 20 seconds and then it falls to the floor and flings itself across the floor until it hits something.

The battery life is longer than others I've tried, which, makes this a fun toy as it should be. The size is good also - not too big or small. Might be a bit big for little kids, but not inappropriate. It's quite easy to get started for beginners. It stays in the air longer than others and the flight travels straight nicely whereas some others boomerang quickly even when trying to direct the ball straight at another player. Haven't play long enough to figure out any tricks or if it boomerangs easily when desired (too lazy to read instructions for now).
