It is not meant for this type of mounting but by drilling the top hole out to 7/16" i bolted it onto my Fitness Reality 2x2 cage (I have what they label as the older version of that as in my pictures).
Note that having only a single bolt in it likely carries some risk but given most of the mass of the bar is below it it shouldn't rotate much. However I am not an engineer so do this at your own risk. Consult a licensed engineer who're doing this. Your results may vary. Injury may happen. All other disclaimers apply.

I bought this because the power tower I bought scratched up my bars in the holder it provided. It was a learning curve since I did not take in account how tall my bar was before I mounted it, but that was my mistake. Once I got the correct height, it was easy to install with the level that comes with it and the bumpers protect my bar from unwanted scratches. Great product!
