I like this tool, I lost a disc so I got the retriever to go back and look for it. I found three discs and got them back to their owners but in the process I damaged part of the wider telescoping pole. Seems like hollow aluminum. I was using it to move some of the reeds aside and it bent about 20°. I was able to bend it back carefully and push it back in. It was literally my first time using it so it was a bit of a bummer. Not gonna bother with a return or replacement since I already have it in my possession and it's not unusable.

End piece didn't thread in. But easy fix.

There was glue in the threads in the end piece where the tips screw into (it's glued on). I took vise grips and some leather or thick rubber to protect the end and held it while I worked the tip piece back and forth to break it up. I also used a drop of oil on the threads and all is well now.
