These are great value wise, but heads up that they are not meant to be used with a pot liner. The bottom of the pot is not flat so if you were to use even a four inch liner it will not sit evenly inside. Self watering pot so it's not necessary, just my preference!

The media could not be loaded. I love these because they are super versatile. I believe they have them in different colors which is super cute and I might just go ahead and purchase more. They're very helpful for when you don't wanna remember to water your plants constantly and you can just keep water in the reservoir every few days. I find my plants that I bought feet like this are a lot healthier.

These are nicer than anticipated. The plastic feels substantial, not cheap. I believe they would not crack if dropped, at least while empty. The reservoir is easy to take on/off as you line up the sides then it locks in place with a twist. It does come off a little too easy sometimes even with this feature, which is part of the reason for the docked star. The other reason is the spout used to help fill it with a watering can, comes off super easily despite it snapping onto the rim. This is a big pain and I expect to lose them over time. If your watering can has a spout with a slight downward turn then it'll fit into the hole easily to fill w/o the splash guard. Checking water level isn't as hard as I thought it be, because the hole is big enough to stick my finger into so I can feel for water. I do suggest a layer of lava roack, pumic, or lecca at the bottom of the pot in case you overfill the bottom because the way the pot lines up you could end up filling all the way up against the pot and cause root rot that way, but it's a cheap & easy fix so no points lost (really best practice to add this drainage layer to most pots). Still experimenting to find the best soil or mix to use in these pots (these are my 1st time w/self watering pots) and of course only watering loving plants (those that are always thirsty & will droop if you miss a single day of watering) should be in self watering pots of any kind. All in all I like them and will buy more if I run out for all my thirsty plants.

They have nice look, but the robe that was meant to be inside the soil is too short, like half of the pot's hight, that means the surface will dry out faster or will remain dry at all. If you count on that, you probably will be over watering. Not sure if this whole idea with self watering is worth the money and time spent, but the colors are nice
