I was VERY pleased with the Big Bear! It was nicer than I even thought it would be. The size of the main compartment has plenty of room for the plethora of items I carry to the stand: rattle bag, grunt calls, trauma pack w/quick clot, flash light or head lamp, hunting knife, snacks w/extra drink, gloves, mask and extra toilet paper. And the extra compartments holds my scents(with containers), extra rounds and camera. Plus there is the nice size secondary pocket on the front. The added day pack is just an extra I really like in case I need to carry extra clothing with me for those all day hunts. Plus, I love having an exterior drink holder(that was a must for me). The pack is very adjustable. I am 5'9" and 215lbs. and had to take in the waist belt a good bit. So, bigger guys don't have to worry.I would definitely recommend this to friends and family. I think I have finally found my perfect pack after years of trial and error with other uncomfortable waist packs. And for the price... come on!

I really like the pack as it holds everything I need for rifle and bow hunting. My one complaint it no matter how I adjust it ( waist tight, shoulders loose : shoulders tight, waist loose : or even tightness) the buckles squeak and creek with every step and turn I make. I'm going to try and wrap them with hockey tape to see if that quiets them. It's really annoying when trying to be quiet walking around with every step hearing it. I will update with the taped up buckles.

After wanting to upgrade my pack from last year, I decided on the ALPZ Big Bear pack. This pack has exceeded all my expectations for what a hunting pack should be. The load bearing straps make it really easy to adjust for heavy loads. I needed a pack that can hang low enough during bow season to accomodate carrying my tree stand. This is the only pack on the market that does so. It can also convert into a day pack with ease. For a true one man backwoods bow hunter like myself. I needed a system that is versatile and easy enough to use for the different types of hunting days I have. During bow season, I have to carry water, calls, release, scent destroyer, food, emergency kit, phone, and my tree stand. WIth it in "fanny pack" mode I have more than enough space to do all of this, while letting it hang low enough to not interfere with the stand on my back. In scouting mode. I undo the fold out backpack and have a TON of room for trail cameras, one-two gallons of deer liquid attractant. Leftover sub sandwich, neighbor kid, dog, or whatever! I highly reccomend this pack if you need a system that will change with the hunting conditions, and is quality made to last a lifetime.

Looks great! HOWEVER, I am missing a buckle to attach the extendable backpack portion to the top.
COME ON! I was so excited to take this to the field but looks like I'll have to wait to return this one and get one that has all the buckles. Kills my vibe but I will just be patient and get another one that is good to go.

Recently ordered this pack along with the dslr bag that attaches to the front. I am a wildlife/sports photographer and i used it the other day swamp exploring here in the Arkansas heat & humidity.

In the dslr pouch i had a Canon 70d with the 18-135mm for snake videos, along with my Note 3, lens cap & there was still room for some other small things. In the Big bear pack i had 2 20 ounce bottles of water (one on each end). Spare camera batteries for the 7d2 + 100-400mm ii that i was carrying with the Opteka sling on my hip, a few action cameras and mounts, big can of bug spray and several other things. I didnt have the backpack part out but this pack will easily carry a jacket and everything i need this winter for wildlife photography. I wear the same clothes and use the same gear as a bowhunter or duck hunter when im taking pictures so its pretty much hunting from the ground with a camera. I hunted for 25 years until i took up wildlife photography. This pack will work great!
