Works great but I don't like the finish combo - the refrigerator has a bumpy "matte" finish (dull and flat; without a shine) that is a darker color of white on both the top and the sides (you can't tell this from the pictures on Amazon but it is there) - but on the front it is a smooth & shiny white - this contrast in color and sheen makes the refrigerator look cheap - it would have been much better with an all-shiny finish & texture that is pure white & smooth on every side. And there is also an ugly "Upstream" brand label (non-removable) printed on the top of the front of the refrigerator. The refrigerator is also too short - about an inch & a half shorter than most standard compacts refrigerators. The price was the lowest I could find for a compact of this size on Amazon but it was off-set by the cost of shipping (expensive - & not included in the actual price of the refrigerator itself). I do like the little crisper at the bottom where you can store your fruits & vegetables - this keeps them from falling off the tiny shelf above it or else freezing if left on the shelves above - but this space is very small (but better than no crisper space at all). Overall a great little compact with the exceptions above - but this is best suited for a camper space or a dorm space in my opinion - too short for me which also leaves you less room to utilize for food storage. Upstream should make the compact about an inch & one-half taller (about 33 & 1/4 inches tall) so that it compares with the height of most standard compacts.

9-20-23 I really like it now that I figured out how to reverse the door - no instruction in the manual.

I had a lot of reservations about this fridge before I bought it that were caused by the bad reviews I read.

A lot of people complained about dents and scratches, and I was worried that I would suffer the same fate. However, I lucked out. The fridge arrived upright in an undented box, thank goodness. And I noticed a protective tape-like film covering the fridge itself when I took it out of the box.

Pulling all that tape/film off wasn't fun. But I think it's safe to say most of us would rather do that than deal with a scratched-up fridge.

As for lifting it, I'm a proud geezer (50+), and I was able to put it on a dolly and carry it to the kitchen by myself, pick it up, and put it on a counter by myself without experiencing any pain.

To paint a picture, the whole process took about as much effort/strength as it does for me to carry a big bag of pet food or cat litter from the front door to the kitchen. However, I don't have any health or mobility issues that prevent me from lifting
In terms of performance, thus far, I am very pleased with how it's working. I let it sit up, unplugged, for about seven hours to let the compressor oil settle. And I got very nervous after I plugged it in and noticed the top and sides got very warm. But I've learned that that's normal.

It's expelling heat, so the exterior cools off when the inside finally gets cold.

As for how cold the inside gets, I've opted to set the thermostat to four because I don't have air conditioning and I don't want to overwork the compressor. Plus, four gets the job done for me.

My bottled water, leftovers, and produce were/are cold. I also put some bottled water in the chiller rather than use the ice tray that came with the fridge because it's too tiny IMO. And the bottles I put in the chiller got nice and frosty, but they didn't freeze. And it does say in the manual that the chiller is not a freezer, and you shouldn't keep anything in it for more than a few days. So I don't expect to have bottles of ice when I use it. However, cranking the thermostat up to five might turn them into slush.

In terms of noise, I noticed some customers complained and said the noise disturbed them. Mine does not make a lot of noise, just a very low hum, which might be annoying if you're extremely sensitive to sound and are in the same room for prolonged periods of time.

Neither situation applies to me. So all things considered, I'm a happy camper right now. But I will be updating this review if things change any time soon.

I bought this for my son's room. It works well to keep his drinks cold!

I like it so far. No dents or problems. Excellent packaging. Easy to carry at about 41 lbs. Roomy enough for drinks like pop, energy drinks, and bottled water. I also keep fruit, jello cups, salads and other snacks in it. The freezer section is excellent for lunch meat. It did freeze a pound of turkey loaf. I can fit 3 frozen dinners in the freezer if I remove them from the boxes. After removing the refrigerator from the box, I allowed it to sit for a day before adding food and drinks. It gradually became cold set at 3. I prefer to set it at 4 for a more lower temperature. It doesn't make a lot of noise to me. It shuts on and off and it's audible. Then there are other normal sounds that it makes. Nothing annoying to me but if you are sensitive to sound place it away from your sleeping area. I'm happy that I purchased this and hope to get many happy years out of it.
