Uno gasta en lo que quiere cuando puede porque quiere y, cuando no, porque no puede. Pude y quise comprar este blu ray que no contiene entrevistas, sino un video que no me parece que esté a la altura (sin ser malo) y los comentarios de dos drag queens que son entretenidos. No hay más. Es una pieza para coleccionar, supongo. El libro es muy similar al de la edición "regular" de Fear Inoculum, lo que quizá signifique que encontraron un proveedor más "económico". El disco bluray es delgado, no como un CD de hace 10 años.
El empaque no parece tener mucho que ver con la re-edición del Opiate del 21 aniversario.
Habría estado bien que tanto video como empaque y contenido se acercaran más a lo que hicieron en el DVD de Vicarious. Sin embargo, esto es lo que tenemos. Ya lo plomeé en mi lista de colección.

Opiate2 is quite different from TOOL's past videos. The most recent one before it was Vicarious, almost coming out 15 years ago. That and Parabola had CGI that looked very much from the 2000s, but this one feels much more modern and high budget. Part of me misses the classic TOOL videos done in stop motion, but this style is very cool as well. The Blu-Ray comes in an art book showing some of the making of the video, which is always nice. Besides the video itself, the disc comes with a commentary version which is basically a parody of two annoying people doing a reaction video. It's got some funny meta commentary about how some people don't understand or take their music seriously. So overall a fantastic product. If you're a TOOL fan I highly recommend this.

First off, I don't get why so many people are upset about the price, their previous DVD video releases were a few dollars cheaper and had far less content (save for the "making of" on Vicarious) and a single song. I think this is far more worth it, if for the packaging alone. I remember back in the day when people complained about Tool not releasing media and products very often, and now that they are, they're complaining about Tool releasing products and media very often, but if it's not for you, then don't get it. It was no secret what was going to be on it. I'm absolutely satisfied with this reinvention of a classic song and the music video is absolutely mind-blowing.
