Okay. Listen. I get big ideas.
I don't know how to crochet - like at all - but I had the brilliant idea that I was going to make all my TAs little stuffed animals for Christmas this year. I have 17 of them, and uh.... it's going to be hard haha.
But I bought this kit and a bunch of other kids (both from Woobles and not) to learn this new thing.
Crocheting is kind of hard. The first kit from a different brand made me question all of my life choices. So I opened this one.
And I made the cutest little penguin.
I don't think I attached the beak and feet quite right, but that's okay - I have the pattern now and I might try making another one with different yarn.
Overall, if I can do it, you can. I literally don't know my right from left and have the hand-eye coordination of... well, a penguin. So if I can make this lil dude, you can too!
Give it a shot. It's definitely worth the extra $ for this kit.

I recently purchased "The Woobles Crochet Kit for Beginners," and it has been an absolute delight to work with. As someone new to crocheting, I was a bit apprehensive about diving in, but this kit made the learning process incredibly smooth.
The Easy Peasy Yarn included in the kit is not only soft and vibrant but also user-friendly, which is crucial for beginners like me. The kit's claim of being featured on Shark Tank caught my attention, and it certainly lives up to the hype. The step-by-step video tutorials that come with the kit are a game-changer. They're clear, concise, and easy to follow, making the learning curve much less daunting.
One of my favorite things about this kit is the "Chick" design. The finished product is adorable and a testament to the well-thought-out instructions. It's a fantastic project to start with and gain confidence in crocheting skills.
I also appreciate the overall quality of the kit. The materials provided are of excellent quality, and it's evident that the creators put a lot of care into curating this package.
In conclusion, "The Woobles Crochet Kit for Beginners" is an excellent investment for anyone looking to dip their toes into crocheting. The combination of high-quality materials, user-friendly instructions, and the adorable "Chick" design make this kit a winner in my book. I'm excited to continue my crochet journey with the skills I've gained from this kit.

I decided I wanted to learn to crochet critters. So, I'd gotten a much cheaper set than Woobles in case I goofed up. However the cheapy ones instructions were HORRIBLE. The written instructions were missing steps, so you "had to" watch the video to see what you missed. However, on the YouTube video there was no one speaking"¦just a few subtitles that if you read you'd miss the actual demonstration of it. I was so frustrated and confused, I ended up trying to look up other videos on YouTube to help me figure out what I was doing. Almost everyone that I found helpful and slow enough for me, ended up being a wobbles clip. So, I decided to bite the bullet of the expense & just to get one. I don't think the materials themselves are that much better for the price"¦but the instructions made it worth it for me. Now, on future creations I can just use the basics from the Woobles video.
This made crocheting easy and approachable! Plus so cute!

I absolutely LOVED this product. I had been wanting to learn to crochet for awhile, but I wasn't sure where to start. This kit was great because it comes with everything you need, so I didn't have to go out and buy a whole bunch of skeins of yarn just to try it out. And the yarn they give you is purposely made to be easy to work with, which was so helpful because I didn't have to worry about the yarn fraying or anything, and the stitches were super easy to count. So this was a great way to try crocheting out without breaking the bank!
I found the instructions easy to follow - the videos were incredibly helpful. I also love that the project comes with the first part done (the "magic ring"), which made it easy to get started without having to learn a more complex stitch first, AND that first set of stitches doesn't come out so the couple of times I decided to start over, that magic ring wasn't lost. But it still teaches you later in the project how to do a magic ring, so I was able to go on with the knowledge I needed to do many different beginner projects!
Plus, Bjorn turned out super cute! Everyone loves him. And isn't Bjorn just a great name for a narwhal? 10/10 product, would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to try out crochet without having to make a huge commitment or decide what types of things to buy.

First of all, I am a beginner. I've watched youtube videos and at least new a little about crocheting but didn't want to make scarfs and blankets so when I saw this advertised for beginners with tutorial videos that walk you through it I was intrigued, even though it seemed a bit pricey, I decided to treat myself.
I was initially pleased with the videos, counting stitches, writing them down and so happy when i had the correct numbers. The stitch marker is a pain (gotta be a better design). Then things started to get more difficult and frustrating and poor quality in the videos after working on the snout, nose and mouth. Some things were just not very clear and how to attach things. The video footage was often at the bottom of the screen and being cutoff, or some of the instructions for the pattern was covering up the footage, or they were going way too fast. I managed to understand the magic loop more than how to do the slip stitch and chain for the mane! Also, felt like I was left hanging not knowing what to do with the end strings, especially after joining the mane. So I got to the point of throwing caution to the wind (or saying F it) and just did it my way in what made sense and looked good to me. And I finished it, hooray! So proud of myself. I like the sense of accomplishment.
Was it worth it, eh? Does seem overpriced giving the poor quality of the videos and the pattern instructions. I can't really say I recommend it, but if you are a beginner and want to try it, I recommend sticking with it, don't give up, and push through. If I can do it, you can too. As we say in running, just keep moving it's not a sprint. I'm going to try a lesser priced kit and see how it goes. Will report back. Best wishes if you give it a go.
UPDATE: I tried a couple of other less expensive boxed kits and was very disappointed. One kit came with access to videos, that were difficult to understand. I've increased my rating of this kit (Sebastian). I truly love it and the fact that I made it. Although some of the videos are not 100% understandable, just take a little leap to get to the other side. On that note, I do recommend it if you really like the animal character on the package. Although it was a bit pricey, it was worth it. I have learned some new skills, gained some confidence, transferred the knowledge to other projects, and am well basically hooked! LOL. There are some great free videos on YouTube (such as OLLIE+HOLLY) if you really want to start out just learning basics. Best wishes on your crocheting endeavors.
